It’s almost here! Although we are not meeting in Washington DC this year, we are still thrilled that technology allows us to get together to learn and share things that are important to each of us!
Diana Stadden, Advocacy and Policy Specialist at The Arc of Washington State is this year’s State Captain. She will coordinate the Hill Day visits. If you have questions, email her at Diana@arcwa.org
As a little background:
“The Disability Policy Seminar is a three-day annual federal legislative conference co-sponsored by The Arc, Autism Society, American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Association of University Centers on Disabilities, National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities, National Down Syndrome Congress, TASH, United Cerebral Palsy, and Self Advocates Becoming Empowered (the partners). The Disability Policy Seminar strengthens our federal advocacy efforts by having people from across the country come to Washington, DC to receive training and updates and visit their Members of Congress. The Disability Policy Seminar promotes unity, movement building, and amplifies the concerns of people with I/DD before Congress.”
