During the 2020 legislative session, The Arc of Washington State provided information and advocacy as you voted on policy and budget issues important to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. These can often be complex topics that are more easily understood if you have an understanding of the systems that provide these services. Each week during session, we emailed you a one-page document with information about a specific topic and dropped off a pin-back button at your office to alert you about a bill or budget item important to the I/DD community.
DD advocates were at the capitol each Wednesday during session, visiting offices, testifying at hearings, delivering buttons and blue scarves and more. The Arc would like to ask you to complete a short survey so that we might ascertain how well these methods have helped you be better informed on I/DD issues.
